COVID-19 Volunteer Update
Many of the people we serve are considered to be a part of the "most vulnerable" to COVID-19. We are on the front lines in providing care to our most vulnerable citizens and we feel strongly that it is our responsibility to protect them, care for them, and to keep them as safe as possible. With this in mind, many of our typical volunteer activities have been suspended for the time being.
However, we still have a great need for healthy volunteers in select roles on several teams, especially as we continue operating our Hope for Hunger Food Bank, mobile food pantries, and community markets.

The Joy of Giving: Volunteer Opportunities
We have many great opportunities to help feed families hungry in both body and spirit; to bring joy to children in the form of simple gifts, and to bring basic necessities for hygiene that are desperately needed by many living on the street.

Fill-A-Bag, Feed-A-Family
How does it work? Your neighbors commit to giving a small amount of food every two months, which will provide a steady supply of non-expired, nutritious food to serve those in need. We are off to a running start in Phoenix, Tempe, Buckeye, Mesa, and Fountain Hills, where a percentage of bags collected will go directly to Christ-centered food pantries in the areas of participating fellowships in this metro-wide program. We are hoping to stir the body of Christ in unity to display the love of Jesus to our city. If you are interested in volunteering or getting more information about Fill-A-Bag, Feed-A-Family, click here to see the info page or get more information by contacting our Gift-In-Kind Donations Team at 602-346-3347 or at gikhelp@phxmission.org.

Have questions? We hope our Volunteer FAQ's document will help provide information and clarification about volunteering with us!
